Fire has always been a fundamental element of healthy forests. Learning to live with good fire is an important step for all communities living in the Wildland Urban Interface.
Although fire season has been extended due to climate change, proactive forest management including the use of good fire decreases the likelihood of catastrophic fires.
Finding sustainable funding for forest management is critical to how effective California can bring forest back to health.
