Committees & Working Groups
ESWA relies on committees, working groups, and a Steering Committee to coordinate activities, support decision-making, and advance shared priorities. Each plays a different role in moving regional collaboration forward.
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee helps keep ESWA moving forward by coordinating priorities, supporting communication across committees and working groups, and helping guide the Alliance’s overall direction.

Committees support the ongoing functions of ESWA and develop recommendations for the broader Alliance.
Projects Committee
Coordinates the regional project portfolio and helps identify shared project priorities using the Prioritization Framework.
Governance Committee

Communications Committee
Supports internal and external communications, information sharing, and coordination across ESWA.
Working Groups
Working groups bring partners together around specific regional topics, challenges, and opportunities. Groups may form and evolve as regional needs and priorities change.

Coordinates regional efforts to identify practical uses for biomass generated by forest health and fuels reduction work and advance longer-term solutions.

Coordinates partners to improve wildfire resilience in Eastern Sierra riparian systems through collaborative projects, research, and shared learning.
Workforce Development
Forming
Explores opportunities to strengthen the local and Tribal workforce through improved recruitment, training, coordination, and pathways to quality employment.
Community Resilience

Connects communities working on wildfire resilience to share successful approaches, identify common needs, and improve access to resources and support.
